Prof. Massimo Corradi

The Delegate for Prevention and Protection Measures is the point of reference for the DiMeC Director of issues related to health and safety in the Department's workplaces.
He participates in meetings requested by the Director to address issues related to prevention and protection also in agreement with the University SPP and Cesislav.
He reports to the Director, producing a report on the activity carried out every six months.

Prof. Ovidio Bussolati

The Delegate for Research and Teaching Quality Assurance (with the function of Coordinator of the Departmental Quality Assurance Committee) acts in close liaison with the University Quality Assurance Committee (PQA) to ensure the implementation and dissemination of quality culture at the departmental level. Its main tasks relate to the self-evaluation, monitoring and continuous improvement of teaching, research and third mission activities.
The Delegate translates the University's general guidelines into concrete and monitored actions at the departmental level, ensuring that educational paths and scientific activities meet national and international quality standards. In particular, he is responsible for:

  • Promoting Quality Culture: Developing and disseminating the culture of Quality Assurance (QA) within the Department, involving Professors, Students and Technical Administrative Staff.
  • Coordination and Support: Assisting the QA managers of the Courses of Study (CdS) pertaining to the Department, acting as a point of contact with the University PQA and supporting the implementation of centrally defined procedures.
  • Data Management and Documentation: Oversee the collection, analysis and management of data required for the self-evaluation processes (AVA - Self-Assessment, Periodic Evaluation, Accreditation), including the preparation of the Single Annual Study Course Scorecard (SUA-CdS) and related annual review reports.
  • Monitoring and Self-Evaluation: Organizing and monitoring QA procedures, checking the performance of study courses and research and third mission activities, according to the established objectives and data provided by ANVUR and the Evaluation Committee.
  • Review and Improvement Proposals: Proposing corrective and improvement actions based on the results of the monitoring and analysis carried out, ensuring that departmental bodies "take charge" of the indications that emerge from the evaluation processes.
  • Interface with the University Bodies: Maintaining a constant dialogue with the PQA and Evaluation Committee to ensure alignment between departmental quality policies and the general policies of the University.
  • Support External Visits: Collaborate in the organization and preparation of the documentation required during visits by Commissions of Evaluation Experts (CEVs) or Expert Evaluators (VEs) during the initial and periodic accreditation procedures.
    Reports to the Director, producing a report on the activity carried out on a semi-annual basis.
     

Prof. Michele Miragoli

The Director's Delegate for Research coordinates the activities of the Commission and contributes to the definition and implementation of the Departmental Strategic Plan, ensuring consistency between the scientific objectives and the development strategies of the Department.
Main Role and Responsibilities:
Drafts and approves documents that establish the multi-year objectives of departmental research; establishes, in agreement with the Research Commission, the way resources are allocated for research activities, based on the strategic objectives. 
Manages the review of research activities, drafting documents assessing the results obtained.
He is involved in the Research Quality Assessment (VQR) and Quality Assurance.
He often works in synergy with other delegates, such as those for Clinical Research, Private Research, European and International Research, and Third Mission, to ensure an integrated view of scientific activities.
He is accountable to the Director, producing a report on his or her activities every six months. 
 

Prof. Michele Miragoli

The Director's Delegate for VQR (Research Quality Assessment) oversees the selection, harmonization and validation of scientific products to be submitted for national evaluation, ensuring the representativeness and quality of departmental scientific production.
The role is strategic and operational within the national evaluation process of university research quality, managed by ANVUR.
The Delegate is in charge of the Coordination of VQR activities in the Department in agreement with the Director: supervising the collection and selection of research products (publications, patents, etc.) to be submitted for evaluation and supporting the Professors and Researchers in the correct compilation and data entry on the IRIS platform.
He interfaces with the Director and, if necessary, with the Rector's Delegate for VQR and with the O.U. Supporting the Evaluation of Research Activities.
He ensures that the Department complies with the deadlines and criteria established by ANVUR.
Contributes to the internal evaluation of research quality, also in synergy with the Delegate for Quality Assurance, and may propose corrective or improvement actions based on previous VQR results.
Reports to the Director by producing a report on the activity carried out every six months.

Prof. Luca Bonini

The Department of Medicine and Surgery's International Research Delegate collaborates with the Research Delegate, the Director and the Department Administrative Secretariat in promoting and coordinating information dissemination initiatives on international calls, including through liaison with the University's International Research Unit. It oversees the identification of funding opportunities at the European and global level, ensuring the liaison between the Department's researchers and the relevant offices of the University; supports the preparation and presentation of international research projects - particularly European ones - aimed at professors, researchers, doctoral students and post-docs, and promotes the external visibility of the Department's scientific activities, helping to consolidate its international reputation and enhance it as a driving force for obtaining further funding and participation in new international calls.

Prof. Pier Giorgio Petronini

The Director's Delegate for Private Research is directly accountable to the Director for his actions with regard to his assigned tasks. 
Promotes access to private research funding by increasing the number and quality of structured collaborations between the Department and companies in the area with particular reference to pharmaceutical, health and food companies. This process involves the development and approval of a document that is an integral part of the Department's Three-Year Plan.

Prof. Umberto Maggiore

The Department of Medicine and Surgery's Delegate for Clinical Research is a reference figure appointed by the Department Director to promote, coordinate and support clinical research activities carried out in the Department's affiliated facilities, consistent with the University's strategic guidelines and in compliance with current regulations on clinical trials.
The main purpose of the Delegate is to ensure the integration of clinical research, teaching and care, promoting the quality, transparency and ethical-regulatory compliance of research activities conducted by groups and individual researchers.
The Delegate for Clinical Research:

  • Coordinates the Department's clinical research activities, in liaison with the University Delegate for Clinical Research and the Clinical Research Office of the University of Parma;
  • Promotes training, updating and good practice initiatives in clinical research, with particular attention to European (EU Regulation 536/2014) and national (D.Lgs. 52/2019, D.M. 30/11/2021);
  • Supports professors and researchers in the preparation of study protocols, collaboration agreements, trial contracts and conventions with external entities;
  • Verifies the consistency of clinical research projects with departmental objectives and the University's internal regulations, including the Research Management Regulations and the University Regulations Code of Ethics;
  • Collaborates with the Ethics Committee of the Northern Emilia Vast Area for the evaluation and authorization of clinical trials and with the Research and Third Mission Office for administrative and accounting aspects;
  • Monitors the progress of clinical research projects and provides support in the management of relationships with health care companies and partner entities;
  • Fosters the dissemination and exploitation of clinical research results through the IRIS institutional repository and the Department's communication channels.

Prof.ssa Susanna Esposito

The Department's Third Mission Delegate is mainly in charge of the Planning and implementation of Third Mission activities in coherence with the Departmental and University Strategic Plan, following the Guidelines for Research Quality Assurance and Third Mission of Departments.
Supervises the promotion of Public Engagement (PE) initiatives, i.e., nonprofit activities aimed at non-academic audiences with educational, cultural and social development purposes (events, demonstrations, popular courses).
She is in charge of the coordination and dissemination of calls for the allocation of funds dedicated to the Third Mission, from:

  • University funds specific to PE;
  • dedicated competitive calls;
  • deliberation and approval by the Department Council.
    The Delegate also coordinates the monitoring and reporting of Third Mission activities and their social impact, in collaboration with the Departmental Quality Presidium (PQD), and oversees territorial collaborations with public bodies, associations, businesses and health facilities, to foster knowledge transfer and social innovation.

Prof.ssa Cecilia Carubbi

The Delegate for Teaching Coordination coordinates and supports the Department's teaching activities, collaborating with the Director, the Delegate for Teaching in the Health Professions Degree Courses and the Delegate for Teaching in the Single-cycle Degree Courses. 
His priority actions include coordinating the annual planning of educational offerings, supporting the Directorate in the assignment of teaching tasks and monitoring and optimizing the arrangement of class schedules, classroom management, and profit exam calendar. The Delegate for Teaching Coordination performs liaison functions between the Department and the University bodies and contributes to the integration, at the departmental level, of the innovative and international teaching activities promoted by the various Courses of Study.
He reports to the Director to whom he sends a semi-annual report on his work.

Prof.ssa Roberta Andreoli

The Delegate for Teaching in Health Professions Degree Courses collaborates with the Director, the Delegate for Teaching Coordination, and the Delegate for Teaching in Single-cycle Degree Courses.
His priority actions include coordinating the Presidents of the Health Professions Degree Courses and dialoguing with the Health Authorities hub and/or reference of the Courses. The Delegate for Teaching in the Health Professions Degree Courses performs liaison functions between the Department, the University bodies and the Health Companies hub/reference of the Courses and contributes to the simplification of procedures related to the management of the Courses. 
He is accountable to the Director to whom he sends a semi-annual report of his work.

Prof. Giovanni Delogu

The Delegate for Teaching in Single-cycle Degree Courses (CDLMCU) collaborates with the Director, the Delegate for Teaching Coordination and the Delegate for Teaching in Health Professions Degree Courses.
His priority actions include the coordination of the Presidents of single-cycle degree courses and the monitoring of the regular distribution of teaching duties, and the regular conduct of classes and internships in the said CDLMCUs. The Delegate for Teaching in the CDLMCUs performs functions of liaison between the Department, the University organs and the Health Authorities hubs of the Courses, as well as with the Professional Order of reference of the Courses (Order of Doctors-Surgeons and Dentists of the Province of Parma), with reference to the design and planning of innovative training activities.

Prof.ssa Giuliana Gobbi

The Delegate for Tutoring coordinates and monitors the Department's tutoring activities, collaborating with the Director and the Delegate for the Coordination of Teaching. 
The main functions include the promotion of activities aimed at supporting students throughout their studies, making them active participants in the educational process, and identifying and removing obstacles that make it difficult for them to have a fruitful education.
He is accountable to the Director to whom he sends a semi-annual report on his work.

Prof. Antonio Freyrie

The Delegate for the Specialization Schools in the Department of Medicine and Surgery plays a strategic and bridging role between the academic structures, the Specialization Schools and the University bodies.The Delegate contributes to the implementation and monitoring of quality assurance processes for the Schools and works in close agreement with the MQD.
Fosters the integration of teaching, nursing and research, enhancing the role of the Schools as an engine of clinical and organizational innovation.
Supports the dedicated administrative staff in the collection and analysis of data on resident satisfaction, educational outcomes and performance of the facilities in the training network.
Reports to the Director to whom he sends a semi-annual report on his work.
 

Prof.ssa Susanna Esposito

The Department's Delegate for University Master's Programs is mainly in charge of the overall Coordination of the Professional Master Programmes - first and second level - active at the Department, ensuring consistency with the University's educational policies and DiMeC's educational mission.

It also oversees the teaching quality and post-graduate educational activities, in liaison with the Quality Presidium and Teaching Committee, promotes new educational initiatives (Master's and Advanced Courses) consistent with the needs of the territory and the health system, and monitors the educational and employment outcomes of participants.

Prof. Roberto Albertini

The Departmental Delegate for Technical-Administrative Personnel (PTA) supports the Director in dealing with the PTA. 
In particular, with regard to:

  • Analysis of self-assessment forms, measurement of objectives and behaviors as part of the annual performance evaluations
  • Inbound and outbound transfer requests
  • Requests for new roles
  • Leave planning
  • Declaration of absence of conflict of interest situations
  • Reclaration of absence of conflict of interest
  • Reclaration of continued employment
  • Recognition of termination of service
  • PTA training
    and for anything else that may be related to the management of the Department's PTA.

Prof.ssa Roberta Andreoli

The Delegate for Weak Bands collaborates with the Director and the University Center for Inclusion.
His priority actions include dialogue with Students and Female Students, supervision of the correct application of the procedures prepared by CAI regarding requests by Students and Female Students for compensatory and dispensatory measures in the exam, and discussion with Professors in the management of the same.

The Delegate for the Weakest Bands performs liaison functions between Professors and Students, collaborates with CAI in the promotion of the culture of inclusion both during orientation and throughout the educational path of the male and female Students.
He is accountable to the Director to whom he sends a semi-annual report on his work.
 

Prof.ssa Dolores Rollo

The Guidance Delegate is purely responsible for the promotion of the Department's guidance offerings, disseminating information on degree courses, career prospects and department services, and coordinating the Department's participation in open days, career fairs and events with schools.
Coordinates guidance and information to incoming students, working with the Department's Degree Course Orientation Delegate Professors and the University Orientation Office to organize information meetings, guided tours, demonstration classes and/or PCTO activities and to prepare information materials (brochures, course sheets), as well as coordinating the Department's Student Orientation Tutors.
The Delegate also works in synergy with the University Orientation Delegate and other Department Delegates.
She participates in committees or working groups dedicated to orientation.
She is accountable to the Director to whom she sends a semi-annual report of her work.

Prof. Fulvio Lauretani

The role of the Delegate for Internships and Job Placement involves fostering the organization of internships for students enrolled in the 6th year of Medicine.
The Delegate has organized meetings with student representatives to bring out critical issues in the conduct of internships, suggesting possible actions for improvement.
Furthermore, for the role related to Job Placement, the Delegate has organized, for A.Y. 2025-2026, together with Prof. Marco Ieva two information days (IFOA Workshops) to be held at your Department of Medicine and Surgery on November 26 and 27, addressed to outgoing Students of the Degree Course in Medicine and Surgery, at the New Classrooms of the Department of Medicine and Surgery.
He relates with the Director, the Delegates for Teaching, the Course President and the Manager. Semi-annually produces a report to the Director on the activities carried out.
