Information for students with conditional Erasmus grant recipients must demonstrate language proficiency for their assigned hub

Prof. Canepari, Rector Delegate for Linguistics Education and University Language Centre Director informed us that

"The dates of the Language Placement Test depend on the release of the calls. I confirm that we have not been contacted regarding the organization of an extraordinary session for Spanish for May/June 2024.

The dates for the supplementary call and the new call that have been requested by the Internationalization OU are:

September 10, 2024, regarding the Summer Session of the Supplementary Call 2024/2025 and SMT Call 2024/2025. Depending on the number of requests, we will assess whether one day will suffice, but to be on the safe side, we have also booked the days of September 11 and 12.

From Tuesday, January 21 to Friday, January 24, 2025,for the Winter Session of the Unified Call 2025/2026 (usually a full week is needed for the ordinary call, given the high number of students).

Given the numerous commitments of the Linguistics Collaborators and Experts and the administrative technical staff in office at CLA, I am afraid that it is not possible to organize an additional LPT session as requested. This, especially in the face of the fact that alternative measures are envisaged for all Unipr students who for whatever reason do not have the opportunity to take the Language Placement Test.

As discussed and publicized in various hubs, students "in LPT debt" can in fact enroll free of charge in courses provided by the CLA, which, upon passing the end-of-course test, issues a language level certificate in lieu of the Language Placement Test.

As can be seen on our website (https://www.cla.unipr.it/en/courses/extracurricular/courses/Spanish/90/) the courses delivered in this second semester were diverse and covered the various language levels. Unfortunately, enrollments were low, so much so that we had to cancel a B2 Spanish course due to lack of students.

Interested students, however, will be able to take and submit an external language certification (by asking the Internationalization UO for confirmation that the certification can be accepted) or, alternatively, participate in the September dates scheduled for the Language Placement Test, possibly arranging to leave based on those dates."

Please note that the Professor's signing of the Learning Agreement only attests to the educational component while the demonstration of language proficiency is the sole responsibility of the Student.

Icarus Project ICt and Advanced Nursing to Reconsider Learning Outcomes.

The second-cycle degree course in Nursing and midwifery sciences, in collaboration with The University of Applied Sciences of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI), is participating in a project funded by Movetia (CH) that sees the implementation of a joint educational pathway aimed at deepening the themes of "research and leadership" for nurses and midwives with advanced practice skills, promoting the use of ICT (Information and Communications Technologies), internationalization and English language.
The initiative is developed in a mixed synchronous and asynchronous mode. The distance learning part will be developed in 2023 and 2024, while the intensive in-person part will be held in Parma in May 2024.
Project objectives:
Implement the use of ICT with user-friendly tools and secure platforms (privacy);
Promote cooperation between universities and companies;
Promote digital literacy;
Propose a new course catalogue with high-quality content (Advanced Practice Nursing);
Promote employability (advanced skills, networing and English implementation);
Promote internationalization;
Promote English language use (students and professors);
Promote a network of advanced practice nursing professionals.
Producing a summary document on the contents of the respective modules, in English and in the languages of the partner countries, free of charge usable from the websites of the participating universities;
Scheduling a conference in each participating country to promote/disseminate an APN network, involving stakeholders (health offices).
