Today, the University of Parma warmly welcomed the delegation from the Nursing Degree Program at the Instituts de Formation en Santé du Centre Hospitalier de Saverne, France. The delegation was received by Prof. Antonio Bonacaro, Associate Professor in Nursing Sciences, and Dr. Dario Cremonesi, Nursing Director at the Parma University Hospital.
During the visit, the guests had the opportunity to explore the simulation laboratory at the University of Parma, a cutting-edge educational environment that allows students to develop practical skills through realistic scenarios. In this context, the delegation participated in a workshop on the use of 3D printers for the creation of part-task trainers, innovative tools used in the practical training of nursing, medical, and other healthcare students. The workshop was led by Prof. Ruben Foresti, an expert in the application of new technologies to healthcare education.
Following this, participants attended two presentations focused on the host organizations, through which they gained insights into the educational and healthcare models adopted at the University of Parma and the Parma University Hospital. The visit concluded with a guided tour in small groups to selected hospital units, providing a valuable opportunity for direct engagement with the clinical and organizational realities of the local healthcare system.
This meeting represented a significant opportunity for international exchange, strengthening collaboration between institutions and fostering the sharing of best practices in nursing education, laying the groundwork for future cooperation in education, research, and innovation. The University of Parma thus reaffirms its commitment to promoting international initiatives, enhancing research, and advancing educational innovation for the benefit of future healthcare professionals.
