Parma, May 18, 2026 - Everything is ready for the National University Championships (CNU) 2026, which will be held in Alessandria, Novara and Vercelli from May 22 to 31. CUS Parma will bring more than 120 student athletes, student athletes and staff (coaches, trainers and managers) to Piedmont: that of Parma will be, as always, one of the most numerous representations, holding high the colors of the University of Parma in an event that has always reserved great satisfaction for CUS and the University.

Today part of the representative team was received at the University's hub for the traditional "good luck" and group photo before departure. Welcoming the delegation, led by President Iacopo Tadonio and Secretary General Luigi Passerini, was Rector Paolo Martelli. Also with him is the Sports Delegate Giuliana Gobbi.

"It is always exciting to be able to greet you before the CNUs, which are a celebration of college sports and an important event for you as student athletes. We hope to confirm the excellent results that have always characterized our representations in this event, but regardless of the result you get I already tell you now that you are a great pride for our University, whose colors and values you hold high,"said Rector Paolo Martelli.

"The National University Championships - added CUS President Iacopo Tadonio - represent for CUS Parma and the University of Parma an unmissable event, not only from a sporting point of view, but also formative and values-based; this year, for the first time, they land in the territory of Eastern Piedmont involving the cities of Novara, Vercelli and Alessandria, the heart of an event that will bring together thousands of student-athletes from all over Italy. Our goal is twofold: to confirm a tradition of high-level results and, at the same time, to offer female students a growth experience made up of teamwork, a sense of belonging, responsibility and respect for the opponent."

Parma is competing in track and field, judo, table tennis, soccer, volleyball, tennis, rugby 7-a-side, karate, taekwondo and triathlon (competition already held).
