Parma, April 13, 2026 -From April 16 to 18 at the University of Parma it is Open Day time. Turning back to "Studying in Parma. The University in Open Day", the traditional appointment with days of orientation and information on the University's course catalogue: an event dedicated to all those who are about to embark on their university path and attended each year by thousands of aspiring new students. A "three-day" salon dedicated to first-cycle degree courses and single-cycle degree courses at the Unipr Central Headquarters, at 12 University Street: Thursday, April 16, Friday, 17 and Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with continuous hours and free admission.
The initiative was presented this morning at the ParmaUniverCity Info Point by the Rector Paolo Martelli, from the Pro-Rector for Education Simone Baglioni and by the Vice-Rector for Right to Education and Student Services Isotta Piazza.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony, with academic and city authorities, is scheduled for Thursday, April 16 at 9 a.m..
"Studying in Parma. The University in Open Day" offers, as always, the opportunity for a direct contact, from the inside, with the University: an opportunity not to be missed to inform oneself, to "touch with hand" the course catalogue and the many services of the University of Parma, to "clarify one's ideas" in view of the choice of study path.
The initiative is aimed primarily at enrolled and enrolled students of the fourth and fifth high school classes and more generally to all those who intend to enroll in the University. The salon can be a useful support in the itinerary that will lead future students to decide which course of study to pursue after high school.
The goal is precisely to give support to and to young people and their families in a choice of absolute importance as is that of the university path: to give them all the useful information to allow them to arrive at a reasoned, conscious and convinced decision, "telling" them about the University and what "Studying in Parma" means.
In addition to attending presentations of courses and other opportunities, which will be repeated at different times all three days, there will be the opportunity to visit stands specially set up and dedicated to the Departments and offices of the University, as well as external realities that relate to university life. At the booths there will be professors, students, students and staff ready to welcome future students and answer their inquiries and curiosities.
On Thursday and Friday, it will be possible to visit some of the University's Departments in their hubs.
Admission to the Open Day days is free, with no need for reservations.
At the beginning of the exhibition route, in the Atrium of Columns, at the booth of the Institutional and Ceremonial Communication office of the University, which is organizing the event, you can get all the useful information about the Open Day and pick up the certificate of participation at the end of the visit.
- LIVE PRESENTATIONS AND LIVE STREAMING
During the three-day event, it will be possible to attendpresentations of single course units and visit stands where professors will be present, tutors, students, and administrative technical staff to answer all kinds of inquiries on educational aspects and services.
Other meetings are also on the calendar: presentations of interventions for the right to education at university (ER.GO), presentations of the study abroad opportunities and the European Alliance EU GREEN (of which the University of Parma is a member along with 8 other EU universities), meetings aimed at orienting future students to the choice or informing them about the Commitment of the University in terms of sustainability.
The presentations will be streamed live and remain viewable afterwards on the University of Parma's YouTube channel. All live streams at the link: openday.unipr.it
This year, in addition to the stands dedicated to the University's Departments and those of the University's offices, there will be several stands of external realities and facilities, which with their presence emphasize the importance of the fair for the territory as well and testify to the wide range of cultural offerings and services that a future student can find in the city.
