Muscat, Sultanate of Oman – An institutional visit took place at Sultan Qaboos University, led by Professor Antonio Bonacaro, Associate Professor in General, Clinical, and Pediatric Nursing Sciences. The main goal of the visit was to initiate an institutional collaboration with this Public University in Oman, aimed at strengthening academic ties and improving the quality of nursing education.

During his stay, Professor Bonacaro participated as an external examiner in numerous meetings focused on evaluating the curriculum and the methods of conducting Objective Structured Clinical Examination for third-year nursing students. This evaluation process has been essential in identifying areas for improvement and potential synergies between the two institutions.

In addition to these activities, Professor Bonacaro conducted two impactful seminars:

1. Gamification in Nursing Education: This seminar explored the importance of gamification as a crucial practice for advanced nursing education, highlighting how the integration of playful elements can enhance learning and motivation.

2. Emotional Resilience for Nursing Students and Healthcare Professionals: The second seminar focused on emotional resilience, presenting various approaches to ensure optimal quality of life and stress management for both nursing students and healthcare professionals.

The experience, rich in scientific, cultural, and professional value, took place in an atmosphere of relaxation and collaboration, proving to be very fruitful in laying down the foundations for a closer and more productive cooperation between the two universities.

Professor Bonacaro expressed great satisfaction with the warm reception he received and the opportunities that emerged during the visit, hoping that this collaboration will lead to significant developments in nursing education and academic research.
