From October 27 to 30, 2024, NETNEP2024, the global conference themed "From Disruption to Innovation in Nursing and Midwifery: Celebrating and Driving Outcomes through Education," was held in Singapore. With over 700 delegates from around the world, NETNEP stands out as one of the most prestigious and relevant events in the international landscape of nursing and midwifery. This gathering provides a unique opportunity for sharing knowledge, experiences, and innovations among professionals and academics in the field.
The University of Parma actively participated in the event, distinguished by an exhibition booth that offered extensive visibility to its postgraduate programs in nursing and, more broadly, in health and social sciences. The University of Parma's presence facilitated the establishment of new academic and research collaborations with international institutions, consolidating its position as a leader in training, research, and innovation in the healthcare sector.
The scientific contribution from the University of Parma was significant, thanks to the team led by Prof. Antonio Bonacaro. The team, comprising Dr. Massimo Guasconi (PhD student), Dr. Elisa La Malfa (Research Fellow in Nursing), and Dr. Santina Gavagni (Clinical Nurse at the Parma University Hospital), played a central role in presenting and moderating numerous sessions. Their dedication underscored the advanced skills and knowledge of the nursing community in Parma.
